From July 7–12, 2026, the Seventh-day Adventist Kinship International family gathered in Marriottsville, Maryland, for our 47th Annual Kampmeeting—a week of worship, learning, healing, laughter, and authentic community.
For nearly five decades, Kampmeeting has been the heart of SDA Kinship International. It is where LGBTQIA+ current and former Seventh-day Adventists, together with their families, friends, and allies, come together to find what so many have searched for: a community where faith, authenticity, and belonging can exist side by side.
This year’s theme, “Thriving in a Complex World,” reminded us that our calling is not simply to survive difficult times, but to flourish together through hope, compassion, understanding, acceptance, and unity.
As we gathered under this year’s theme, Kampmeeting 2026 also marked the beginning of the celebration of SDA Kinship International’s 50th anniversary.
For five decades, Kinship has been building a global family where LGBTQIA+ current and former Seventh-day Adventists—and those who love and support them—can experience belonging, hope, friendship, and authentic community.
Thank you to every volunteer, speaker, worship leader, musician, and participant who helped make this gathering so special. The week may have ended, but the friendships, encouragement, and renewed sense of purpose continue long after we return home.
As we begin celebrating 50 years of SDA Kinship International, we look back with gratitude and forward with hope. Here’s to the next chapter of our journey—together.
