March greetings from the president

As I look out of my window, I see the trees are budding and spouting green leaves. There is something built inside of us that when we see this new sign of life happening, it does good for our soul. When we see flowers pushing up through the soil to bloom, it gives us hope. Even when there are so many other things happening around us that are filled with conflict and strife, these signs of renewal and regrowth give us assurance that no matter what, the cycle of nature will continue.
We were given a beautiful orchid last year. It bloomed beautifully for many weeks before the blooms started to fade. I kept watering and caring for it and now there is new growth and some new buds are appearing. I'm excited to see what will happen. It is my first experience with orchids, so I'm excited to see what the blooms will be like. The same process and anticipation applies to our Kinship community.
Just like Spring, we rejoice with each new member that reaches out to join SDA Kinship to be a part of our community. The message of hope, love, affirmation that Kinship offers is one that makes us metaphorically bloom and thrive. Humans need to know that they are worthy of being loved and cared for. Part of the nurturing care that we offer members are the in person meetings that are starting to happen. Europe is planning on multiple opportunities for local members to come together and fellowship together. Kinship Kampmeeting with the theme "Thriving in a Complex World" is a great opportunity for members to come together to fellowship and to learn how to thrive. Attending an in person meeting allows you to bloom and fully experience YOU just as you were intended to be.
I invite you to check out Kampmeeting or a local Kinship gathering in your area. If one isn't currently planned, let's work together with your local coordinator to organize one. In the meantime, don't forget to take part in the online discussions on our WhatsApp and Facebook groups. YOU are Kinship and YOU determine what Kinship looks like. Kinship is successful because of YOU.
