As we move through April, we are reminded how quickly things can shift. One day brings sunshine and warmth, the next clouds and cold. That same sense of unpredictability is present in the wider world. Still, there are constants we hold onto. For many in our community, that includes the reminder of connection, understanding, and hope that continues to guide our work together.
Looking back, February’s DKM gathering left a strong impression, especially for those attending for the first time. Stefan Kossanyi shared a personal reflection on his experience as a new participant. His perspective captures what it feels like to step into this space for the first time, and we are grateful he took the time to put that into words. We are also hopeful that his story may be picked up by wider Adventist media.
We are also encouraged by the continued support from pastors within our network. On April 30, 2026, Karsten Stank will host a Zoom exchange for pastors connected to our community. At this point, 16 pastors in Germany and 4 in Switzerland are actively engaged. That level of support matters. It creates space for dialogue and signals that meaningful change often begins with conversation.
In the months ahead, several gatherings are planned:
May 10, 2026: Regional meeting in Berlin
July 11, 2026: Regional gathering in Hessen,
July 25, 2026: Kinship Sabbath in Hamburg Grindelberg, followed by the Nordlichter meetup in the afternoon
September 2026: Regional meeting planned in North Rhine-Westphalia
October 24, 2026: Kinship Sabbath in Hanover
These moments continue to shape the rhythm of our community. They give space for connection, conversation, and simply being present with one another.
Many of you stay connected through the WhatsApp group “SDA Kinship D-A-CH,” where updates, invitations, and local meetups are shared regularly. Our Swiss members consistently post their latest gatherings, and others across the region contribute as well. Anyone who would like to join is welcome.
Looking further ahead, planning is already underway for the European Kinship Meeting in 2027. It is expected to take place in July near London. More details will be shared as they are confirmed, but we encourage you to keep this in mind as you plan ahead.
