April 18, Give Out Day, is a day of giving in the LGBTIQ community. SDA Kinship joins that effort and is looking for your help today for a special need: we ask for your support to bring some of our Adventist youth to this summer's 40th Annual Kampmeeting in Portland, Oregon (July 10-13).
Many of you who are reading this message have been to one or more (!) Kampmeetings in the past and know how important that experience can be. Spending time with others who share a similar religious heritage, while learning from speakers and other attendees how to live a well-adjusted, self-accepting life, can be a life-changing experience. We want to make this year's event available to 10 to 12 first-time attendees who could not otherwise afford it. And you can help!
We need to raise $7,000 to cover room/board, registration, and partial transportation support for 10 to 12 young people, and you can help us reach that goal by donating through our secure link TODAY. Any amount will be so much appreciated.
There was a time when SDA Kinship regularly talked to gay or lesbian Adventists who didn't even know there were other people like them in the world. That doesn't happen as much anymore, but we still regularly talk with women and men who are struggling with their orientations, are amazed that there is an Adventist LGBTIQ-supportive organization in existence, and particularly want to know how to reconcile their Adventist beliefs to their new understandings.
SDA Kinship has been here for forty years to help with that process. Please help us to help the young (and, yes, older) people who need someone to talk to now, and specifically to help bring some women and men who need and want to come to this year's Kampmeeting but can't afford it. Please donate today.
And thanks for your ongoing support through all these years. Without you, there would be no SDA Kinship.

Our mission is to provide a safe spiritual and social community to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex current and former Seventh-day Adventists, their families, and those who support them.
We are here to provide community and advocacy for LGBTIQ individuals with a Seventh-day Adventist connection, their families, and those who support them because of this important truth—everyone is created in the image of God.
