About Kinship's Chaplain
The Kinship Chaplain is Marcos Apolonio, BA Theology, MSW, formerly served as an Adventist pastor and now resides in northern California. Marcos earned a BA in Educational and Pastoral Theology from Sao Paulo Adventist University in Brazil in 1995. He holds a Master of Social Work from California State University East Bay and is registered as Associate Clinical Social Worker.
Marcos is an ordained pastor who worked as a youth pastor in large Seventh-day Adventist Church congregations in Brazil. He is also an Associate Clinical Social Worker within the framework of Strengths Based Approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and supporting GLBTQQ persons who are dealing with sexual orientation and gender issues in the context of conservative faith based communities.
Marcos speaks English, Portuguese, and Spanish. His counseling services are available at NO charge to Kinship members worldwide.
